Are you, “ready to run through a wall to tell someone about Jesus?”
Every once in a while, we just need to be encouraged. This is one of my encouraging moments.
We are so blessed to be able to share this week’s update with you. Hang on! Remember last week when I shared with you that Sunday night went VERY badly? If you missed that update you can read it here. Well, that was Sunday night, but the week ended VERY well!
Pastor Mike got things working, by having my computer wired into their system instead of relying on wireless. We didn’t have a single glitch the rest of the week! Thank you so much Pastor Mike, you did an amazing job.
I was scheduled to speak twice a day at Florence Christian School, Monday through Wednesday. Just like what happened the previous week at Liberty Christian Academy, when I finished speaking in the chapel opportunities to speak in even more classes began to open up. What a privilege.
I can’t even tell you how many times that I spoke during those three days. All I know is that it was a blessing to speak to these young folks and challenge them with God’s Word. Principal Berry gave me a full hour for each of the Chapels and gave me unlimited time in the afternoon sessions. What a blessing! That just doesn’t happen very often.
Rather than telling you how it went, I’d like to let share some comments from a few who attended the talks:
and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:19-20 (NKJV)
One mother really blessed me with her words. She explained that her 14 year old son NEVER comes home and speaks with her about his school day. She then told me,
“He has come home every day this week and has spoken with me about what he’s learned. Thank you!”
She may have thanked me, but we know it’s all God’s work. So we thank the Lord for a young man who is now more excited about His Word. Praise God.
One last story. After Wednesday night’s talk, one of the teachers told me that a student came to him after the morning Chapel and asked this question,
“The speaker keeps talking about being ‘saved’. What does that mean? I don’t have it and I want it!”
The teacher was then able to share the gospel and lead this young man to the Lord.
I cannot tell you how impacting this week was for me personally. To go from such a tough start, with all the technical difficulties, to such an amazing ending it just reinforced what I shared last week. When challenges arise, hang on, God is about to do something amazing!
I think you can see we’ve been busy, please pray for us. We’re excited about how God has enabled us to move forward with the production of ministry resources and we’re thankful for his guidance as we grow.
Thanks again for all of your support and prayers. We sure appreciate it.

- “I just wanted to let you know that you did an amazing job Wednesday night at Florence Baptist Temple!”
- “Thank you for answering questions and energizing us for Christ!”
- “It was so exciting to hear my students talking about it.”
- “And thank you for inviting all of us to see Carl. It was amazing. We are all talking about it and CANNOT get enough. I’m so inspired. And it touched Jay too. Thanks!”
- “We truly enjoyed having you with us last week. Many of our students expressed their appreciation for the information you shared. We put a great emphasis on sharing the gospel here, and what you did helps to reinforce that. One of our parents said they watched a teen witnessing at the gas station following the Wednesday night message. One of our adults approached me and said “That message has me ready to run through a wall to tell someone about Jesus!””
